After five years at war, our military weapon platforms are wearing thin. Dozens of aircraft are too old to fly safely or they lack the sophisticated technology to combat new enemy threats. New platforms will be hard to come by due to long acquisition cycles and hefty price tags. Thus, a trade-off exists between buying new systems or spending scarce dollars to extend the life of current systems and modernize their equipment and subsystems. Either way – MTC stands to win!

With a solid reputation in modernization and sustainment for a variety of major weapons systems; unique facilities to do repairs and upgrades; proprietary tools to identify obsolete parts and systems; and the ability to locate/manufacture replacements, MTC is geared to support aging aircraft and other systems’ obsolescence issues. If the dollars are transferred to obtain fewer, but newer and more capable platforms and/or systems, MTC’s reputation in the A&AS arena will enable us to compete for the ensuing development, procurement, test, and deployment programs.   

Terrorism has created a new kind of war, one where the enemy is faceless and hidden, and Special Operations Forces (SOF) are taking the lead in the counter offensive. MTC’s history of providing improved training and advanced weaponry, and our in-depth experience in modifying SOF fixed and rotary winged aircraft for clandestine mission requirements, puts the Company in a great position to capture future work for these specialized missions.
